Creating a vibrant community on your Facebook page

Facebook business pages are a low-risk way for you to market your business. All you need is a profile photo and a cover photo for your page and you're ready to go. You should add your full contact details to the About page right away, but you can incorporate further information, such as Awards and Products, later.

Success is the sum of details. - Harvey S. Firestone

Since you don't need to invest a huge amount of time to start, a Facebook page is a must for any business. But creating a business page is only the first step. Next you must focus on creating a community of Facebook followers who appreciate your posts and find them valuable.

Success is the sum of details

Marketing on Facebook is an ongoing task. My experience suggests that posting something small every day is a guaranteed way to achieve big results.

Enjoy creating Facebook ripples

You should be able to prepare an effective post in ten or fifteen minutes, assuming you have good ideas of what to post. If you share content that's informative or entertaining, you will gain followers naturally. And natural growth - or organic growth - is free. The idea is to create a ripple effect, where the friends of those who like your posts carry on liking, commenting and sharing. Soon your post may be seen by thousands of followers.

Get your hands on some Facebook Inspiration

It's fun to create and share content on Facebook. You can easily experiment with posts, to find out what generates the most interest and business enquiries. If you don't know what to write about, you may benefit from my soon-to-be-published book called Facebook Inspiration: 30 days of creativity for your page. The butterfly image and quote above is one of the colourful pages you'll find inside.

Meet small business owners at the 'Facebook Inspiration' book launch

Please let me know if you'd like more details about the book launch, taking place at The Marlow Bookshop on Thursday 16th March 2017 at 6.30pm. Spaces are limited so be sure to register your interest in attending the launch of Facebook Inspiration by 'joining' this placeholder Facebook event.

The book launch will include time for networking with fellow small business owners. I'm also looking forward to introducing you to book designer and publisher Chrystel Melhuish of Plum Design & Publishing. Chrystel has been instrumental in helping me create and publish this practical, beautiful book.
